13 Principles to Manifesting Money – Principle 6
“The Crystallization of Desire into Action” ~ Napoleon Hill
Principle 6 – Organized Planning
So far we’ve learned htat everything we create or acquire starts with “Desire.” the next step is putting that “Desire” into a form using our Imagination, which we use to create or organize our plans.
We have 6 practical steps to transmute our “Desire” into a physical form – say…money. And one of the 6 steps is to form a clear, definitive PLAN to accomplish our goal.
We learn ‘how’ to build our PLAN – keeping the following poi in mind:
a. it’s absolutely essential to organize and make use of the “Master Mind” group with as man members as needed.
b. before forming our “Master Mind”, decide what benefits we can offer to each of the members in return – no one will work indefinitely without receiving something in return and we should not expect it.
c. Schedule “Master Mind” meetings twice a week or more until we have a perfect PLAN to accumulate money…or as perfect as we can make it.
d. Always maintain harmony between ourselves and all the “Master Mind” members. NOT following this precept will cause failure of the most perfect plan.
A couple BONUS points to follow:
e. Plans must be a joint creation of everyone in our “Master Mind” and be faultless. We can create our Plan, but it must be checked and approved by all in “Master Mind” members.
f. We must tap into and use the imagination, experience, education and innate ability of other minds – our “Master Minds”. No one is capable of accumulating riches alone!
If an7y/one Plan fails, replace it with a new plan until we find one that does work. Keep in mind that temporary defeat is not permanent failure. It just means one thing – there was a flaw in the plan. No person is defeated until he quits…in his own mind…thinking defeat, brings defeat.
In fact, its nearly certain our first efforts at a plan will fail. But be encouraged…we are among the company of great men who persevered and achieved success!
There are two types of people – leaders and followers. It is not a disgrace to be a follower…only to remain a follower throughout a lifetime. The decision to be a Leader instead of a follower is essential to success. Here are some major attributes of leadership:
* Unwavering courage and self-confidence – no one follows a leader without them.
* Self-control – it sets a strong example for followers to emulate
* Keen sense of Justice -without it a leader cannot retain the respect of his followers.
* Decision-maker – leaders who waver or vacillate show they are unsure of themselves.
* Defined Plan – a successful leader creates his plan and sticks to ir.
* Gives more than required – the habit of doing more than is required of followers.
* Personality – a slovenly, careless, obnoxious leader doesn’t command or get respect.
* Understanding – a leader must sympathize with and understand hi followers
* Detailed – master of a leader’s position
* Fully Responsible – for not just his own, but also for the mistakes of his followers.
* Cooperation – a leader must understand and apply this principle to gain cooperation from his followers.
In his book Hill also provides 10 major causes of failure in leadership. Although its equally important for a leader to know what not to do, for the sake of space I’ll not enumerate them here. Let me just say that these 10 “Don’ts” may even be more important than the ‘Do’s.
However, I do want to bring your attention to this… Hill Identified what he called 6 ‘fertile fields’ or areas of opportunity where there is a decline in quality leadership and where new leadership will be needed in the near future. They are:
Politics ~ a need that is nothing less than an emergency
Banking ~ it is undergoing a reform
Industry ~ the leader must e willing to act as a ‘quasi-public official’ whose duty will be to manage Trust in a way that enforces no hardship on individuals or groups.
Religious ~ addressing more of the economic and personal needs of followers.
Professions ~ law, medicine and especially education where the application of knowledge is stressed.
Journalism ~ new leaders wil certainlyl be required here.
Napoleon Hill stressed these 6 as being the top of many leadership opportunities. I find it interesting, that although Hill identified these 6 as top of mind in the early to middle 20th century, how perfectly they fit into our present time!
He goes on to describe when and how to apply for a position or sell personal services, what to include in a carefully prepared ‘brief’ or resume – marketing your ‘merits,’ steps to following getting the exact position you “Desire,” describes “QQS” and how to find your “QQS” rating, identifies ‘31 Major Causes of Failure,’ provides a Self-analysis Questionnaire, and SO much more.
Be sure to read his chapter on “Organized Planning” several times and start to put its valuable information into practice and action.
