Demand… or Listen?
I just “got” this big AH HA – I can’t take credit for thinking of this myself - I’m sure it was a message from my Inner Guide or Spirit.
In my recent post on metaphors, I was told to “listen” more and DO less. Now, I thought I’d been doing the listen part a lot better lately, since this is not the first time I’ve gotten this message… but I guess not! So I’ve been really making it a point to sit every day doing nothing but listening. I guess just the daily part is helping, but I still don‘t always hear anything even though I ask questions. I don’t always get an answer. So I wondered what I was doing wrong… I’m listening – or so I thought.
Then one morning as I was meditating and listening, someone’s face popped into my mind. I realized that person was asking for help through Soul to Soul contact, and I immediately sent positive Healing Energy… not thinking about anything but helping. This happened several times over the period of a week.
Suddenly, during one of these distance energy sessions, I heard the message Spirit was sending…not with my ears but in my mind! Just like that… no effort required! Then I heard again and again during quiet times in meditation. Wow… I didn’t know it could be so easy! Just sit, be quiet, breathe and listen… who knew!
I know everyone for whom meditating and listening are “old hat” are slapping your heads and saying DUH! But we all have to learn at our own pace. I guess I’m just a bit slower. Or perhaps at my age I’ve been doing things the same old way for SO long, it’s taking awhile to dig out the old ways from my psyche and add new methods.
Anyway, each time the messages from Spirit were clearer, and answered questions I’d asked weeks or months ago. I became consciously aware that it was my desire to help with no expectation of being paid or receiving anything in return that made the difference. You know, we often are told by gurus that giving freely is what helps us manifest our desires, but we don’t always totally understand how that translates into our real life.
Today I was really open and Listening and received many messages - or what I call downloads – specific to my business and how my thinking must change. And it hit me… though now in a “1” year, I’m still transitioning from last year’s “9” of releasing the old to let in the new. Even after 30 years practicing numerology I’m still in awe about how perfectly the “Personal Year” energy vibration works.
What’s the BEST message I received today? Demanding is not LISTENING! Listening is easy… simply be still, erase everything from my mind and DO nothing! That’s it… so EASY! Who knew?
