Use Your WILL…Not Power!
Wattles gives us the next step in his Certain Way: Everyday be Grateful and Receive what you desire.
Once you have formed your clear mental picture and are holding it constantly in your mind with the Purpose of causing its creation in solid form and the Faith that it is already yours, now it all depends on having Gratitude for what you asked for. Create an oral statement of Gratitude to God (Supreme Being) acknowledging how grateful you are for having it and how much you enjoy it.
Be constantly thankful for it, just as you will when it is delivered to you. The person who is sincerely grateful to God for what he owns in his imagination has real Faith and can create anything he wants…including wealth.
From that moment on you must Receive what you asked for in your mind. Live in the house, wear the clothes, drive the car, go on your trip – think and speak of everything you ask for in current and actual ownership.
However, do not do all this as the dreamer – hold onto your Purpose of having your mental picture in tangible form and your Faith that your vision is on its way. When using Imagination to create what you want, it is Faith and Purpose that makes the difference between the scientist and the dreamer.
It is Gratitude and Acceptance that matter in receiving your vision. Have no pre-conceived ideas of how or when your dream will appear in your awareness. Do not allow your mind to create any scenarios of who the messenger will be. You cannot know. If you allow expectations to permeate your mind, you will just delay delivery. Even worse…you could miss it altogether, because you are focused in a different and wrong direction.
After you know all this, the third step is the proper use of WILL.
Next, use your WILL…not Power! Applying your WILLpower to anything outside yourself will not help you get rich in the scientific and Certain Way! In fact, you don’t have the right and, indeed, it is wrong to apply/force your Will upon others to get them to do what you want. Mental and physical coercion are equally wrong. You also have no right to use your willpower on another person “for his own good” – you cannot know what is his good. Only God knows anyone’s greatest and highest good!
The science of getting rich does not require any force or power on another person in any way – there is absolutely NO reason for it. Forcing your will on others will only defeat your purpose. Applying your will to compel things to come to you is like trying to coerce or compel God to give you good things…and that is just foolish.
To get rich, you only use your WILL on yourself. Once you know what to think and do, you must use your will to compel yourself to think and do the right things. That is the only right use of Will to get what you want – keeping yourself in right thinking and on course…thinking and acting in the Certain Way.
Don’t project your thoughts, your mind or your will into space to affect others. “Keep your mind at home…it can accomplish more there than elsewhere.” (One of my favorite Wattles’ quotes!)
Form your mental image, hold it with Faith and Purpose, then use your Will to keep your mind working in the Certain Way. You will get rich faster by having only positive thoughts – not offsetting them with any negative impressions. The picture of your desire, held in your mind with purpose and faith impresses original substance; as the impression grows, energies are set in motion toward you, and people are unconsciously influenced to do everything necessary to fulfill your dream.
Negative impressions of doubt and disbelief are as sure to move you away from the vision of your desire, as faith and purpose are to move you toward it. It’s not understanding this that causes most people to fail in getting their vision. Every minute spent in worry or in paying attention to your doubts and fears, and any time you fall into disbelief immediately causes energies to move away from you.
Since belief is so important, it is to your advantage to carefully govern what you pay attention to. This is where you use your Will to determine what you read, watch and listen to…eliminating all things in any way negative.

Do not talk, investigate or concern yourself with poverty…never mind its causes…what concerns you is the cure. That’s not to say be hard-hearted, unkind or refuse the cry of true need. What eliminates poverty is having pictures of wealth, abundance and possibility in poor people’s minds. Inspiring greater and greater numbers of poor people with the Faith to get rich can cause them to rise up out of their misery
Inspire the poor and demonstrate they can become rich by getting rich yourself…practice the teachings of Wallace Wattles’ The Science of Getting Rich. Become rich by creation not competition.
