Your Right to Be Rich!
Do you know…you have a Right to be Rich?
Unlimited Abundance is what God-Source-Universe wants for every being! But each person must put forth the effort to achieve wealth – riches do not come while sitting back and waiting for them!
This is the main premise on which Wallace D. Wattles based his book The Science of Getting Rich. Wattles says no one can possibly achieve his highest potential from a position of poverty. To live a complete and successful life one MUST make and use many things to develop mind, body and soul – and in order to buy these many things…one must be rich!
The purpose of our life is to develop and grow to the highest and greatest level possible in living our life. It is our right and our responsibility to advance our own understanding and awareness with the purpose of increasing the knowledge and improving the lives of others.
It is the sacred purpose and mission of every person on earth. However, we are not expected to sacrifice our Selves to our own detriment to achieve this sacred purpose.
There is nothing wrong with desiring to be rich…for it is really a desire for a richer, fuller, more abundant life – it is exactly what God/Universe/Life WANTS for us! Everyone lives for three motives – the Body, Mind and Soul. None is better than the other…they are equally important.
A person’s greatest happiness is in giving to others, especially those he loves. The person having nothing to give cannot completely fulfill his role as parent, spouse, citizen or human being. It is in the use of material things that man finds fulfillment for body, mind and soul.
Wattles maintains there is an exact science to getting rich – like algebra or arithmetic. There are Certain Laws that govern the process of getting rich, and as long as they are learned and followed exactly, anyone can get rich with “mathematical certainty.”
Getting rich has nothing to do with I…or every person in one neighborhood, city or state would be rich, while people in other areas would ALL be poor. It has nothing to do with talent, since many people with talent are poor, while those with little or no talent are rich. Nor does education have anything to do with getting rich – otherwise all highly educated university professors would be wealthy…which we know is not the case!
So regardless of background, talent or education, getting rich is about doing things in a Certain Way. And it is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects – OR, what you think is what you get!
Lack of capital will also not prevent you from getting rich. You can be the poorest person on earth, having no friends, influence or resources. By doing things in a Certain Way, you WILL begin to get rich. Like causes must produce like effects…it is the Law. But you must live in harmony with the Laws governing the Universe.
No one is deprived of opportunity, for if one area of business is shut off, there are other options open to you. The Law of Wealth is the same for everyone. Anyone willing to make the effort to learn and practice doing things in the Certain Way can accumulate riches.
There is no shortage in the supply of riches – the visible supply is nearly inexhaustible and the invisible supply from Source is limitless. God’s Desire for us is endless abundance. We must begin by living in harmony with the Laws governing the Universe.

Wallace D. Wattles was born in the mid 1800s in the Midwest, had little, if any, education and experienced many failures during his life. Then in his later years, after a great deal of study, he formulated and practiced the New Age principles he described in his book “The Science of Getting Rich,” published in 1910 – the year before he died.
Although Wattles is personally obscure, his writings have been widely quoted and his book is still in print. Many have studied and applied his principles during the 20th century and achieved amazing results – they became rich!
Rhonda Byrne, creator of the movie “The Secret”, maintains her inspiration for the movie and subsequent book was her study of Wattles book, “The Science of Getting Rich” along with other New Thought authors.
