Fits Like a Glove
I must apologize for being offline and not posting since last week. But I do have a good reason…last week I attended another wonderful women’s leadership retreat along with the most amazing, supportive, generous group of women led by Sarah. I’ll have more on this fabulous group in the future.
Then I immediately flew to Washington to meet with my new business strategy coach for an all day one-on-one brainstorming session to map out and plan my business for 2010. Although I was pretty certain this was a great decision, I really had no idea what to expect or what form her coaching would take.
WOW!! What an awesome experience this has been! We started with My Vision for my business. We did some brainstorming of how that vision could become reality, then began mapping out projects, looked at projections, planned a calendar of events, analyzed the requirements for each project and created an action plan to make everything happen in the desired order. We designed a “To Do” list to keep me on track and prioritized them to help me maintain focus.
This session could not have worked out better. I am so excited about my plans and what is coming in 2010! I actually have a Plan, a calendar of events and a to-do list to keep me focused. One of my coach’s greatest gifts…and she has many…is her ability to see the “Big Picture” for my business, then translate it into something tangible.
There were many coaches to choose from, but I chose her because I realized that she truly “gets” me…all of me, including the spiritual part…and what I want to accomplish. She gave me a window to see the Possibilities. She also showed me how it can be SO much easier…projects I gave up on or didn’t think I could do because I didn’t know how.
And now I’m hooked…even though it is the first time I’ve hired and worked with a coach at this level, it is definitely not the last. Until now I’ve been trying to do all this myself. NO MORE !
I learned a huge lesson – and that is: every entrepreneur must have a coach. My coach” fits me like a glove.” And that is what I wish for each and every one of you reading this. Find a coach who really “gets” you and your business in every way. Then stick with them and allow them to do their magic. They are worth their weight in gold to you and your business!
No…I’m not giving out her name. Perhaps in the future…but right now I’m keeping her all to myself!!
